Efficiency Maine is offering heat pump rebates up to $8,000.
Low-income
- 80% of the project cost, up to $8,000.
- Household member participates in MaineCare, HEAP, SNAP, or TANF.
Moderate-income
- 60% of the project cost, up to $6,000.
- Homeowner’s Adjusted Gross Income is up to $70,000 for individual, or $100,000 for joint tax filers.
Any-income
- 40% of the project cost, up to $4,000.

Federal tax credits are available up to $2,600.
Any-income
- 30% of the project cost, up to $2,000.
- Additional $600, if you need to upgrade your electric panel to accommodate the system.
- Must be homeowner’s primary residence.
- Must be an energy upgrade to an existing home (new construction does not apply).
