Efficiency Maine is offering heat pump rebates up to $8,000.

Low-income

  • 80% of the project cost, up to $8,000.
  • Household member participates in MaineCare, HEAP, SNAP, or TANF.

Moderate-income

  • 60% of the project cost, up to $6,000.
  • Homeowner’s Adjusted Gross Income is up to $70,000 for individual, or $100,000 for joint tax filers.

Any-income

  • 40% of the project cost, up to $4,000.

Federal tax credits are available up to $2,600.

  • Additional $600, if you need to upgrade your electric panel to accommodate the system.
  • Must be homeowner’s primary residence.
  • Must be an energy upgrade to an existing home (new construction does not apply).
